24/7 Home Care Services

Aurora Home Care provides flexible 24/7 home care support for families in Philadelphia, Reading, Lancaster, and nearby communities, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Our team remains available at all times to help coordinate services and adjust care plans as needs change.

All caregivers complete required Pennsylvania background checks and clearances before providing care and work in full compliance with state regulations. We also follow Pennsylvania protective-services reporting requirements for older and vulnerable adults in cases of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

WHAT DOES 24/7 HOME CARE MEAN?

Image

At Aurora Home Care, 24/7 home care refers to availability and flexibility, not guaranteed continuous or insurance-covered care throughout the day and night.

Families may benefit from:

  • Flexible scheduling for day and night care
  • Adjustments to home care services as needs change
  • Support coordination at any hour

Unlike hospice or inpatient settings, continuous care is not typically provided in the home without private arrangements.

INSURANCE COVERAGE AND PAYMENT CLARITY

Understanding coverage is essential when planning
24-hour assistance:

  • Personal home care services. Waiver programs may approve a limited number of hours. Additional or extended around-the-clock caregiving is typically private pay.
  • Home health care. Medical services such as skilled nursing are provided on an intermittent, physician-ordered basis and are not continuous care.

Aurora Home Care helps families clearly understand coverage, costs, and available care services and when services are funded through Medicaid waivers or Managed Care Organizations, final decisions about covered hours and eligibility are made by the program or MCO, not by Aurora Home Care.

OVERNIGHT AND
AROUND-THE-CLOCK CARE

Some families ask about overnight or 24-hour caregiving when safety or supervision is a concern.

In general, this may involve:

  • Scheduled nighttime or extended shifts
  • Increased availability rather than constant presence
  • Private pay arrangements when hours exceed approvals

Availability depends on assessment and caregiver scheduling.

Home Health Care Coordination

When medically appropriate, Aurora’s home health care division provides skilled nursing and therapy services ordered by a physician. These services are coordinated separately from non-medical home care and are not continuous.
