Aurora Home Care provides multiple services, including home care for adults with physical disabilities, medical illness and traumatic brain injury from ages 18 to 59. We also have a pediatric department that services children who have developmental disabilities from ages 2 to 21. Another service we offer is the Veteran Assistance Program that serves veterans or surviving spouses of a deceased veteran who are in need of assistance. All services are tailored to the client’s needs.

All caregivers undergo an application process which includes providing necessary documents as required by the state. We also complete a thorough background check, state-certified exams, and training to meet the needs of our clients.

Yes, you can choose a family member to be your caregiver, or we can provide one from our agency. Our caregivers have a scheduled meet and greet before starting to ensure comfort and compatibility. Your needs matter to us, and we keep that in mind when selecting someone to be your caretaker.

You start by calling the PA Independent Enrollment Broker otherwise known as Maximus at 1877-550-4227. When calling this number you will be scheduled for the first appointment in the application process. The next step will be a follow up visit from the Area on Aging to gather more detailed information to complete the application. The Final step would be a financial eligibility determination. This entire process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months.
